22ct Indian Gold Jewellery

FalkosGold buy Indian 22ct Gold Jewellery.

Testing 22ct Indian Gold purity

If an item of Indian Gold Jewellery Contains a British Hallmark showing as 22ct, then we will purchase the jewellery at the 22ct rate.

Assuming the jewellery carries no hallmark, we are able to test the purity of the Indian gold jewellery to be scrapped by a process of testing called the acid test. Or for large quantities, we will happily melt and assay the jewellery at our own cost in order to determine the exact percentage purity for you.

Most Indian Gold is 22ct in purity, however 14ct solder tends to be used to join parts of the jewellery together which in turn reduces the purity of the piece. We will only be able to tell if this is the case by inspecting the item concerned.

In addition to this, without an official hallmark, it is against the law to advertise jewellery as 22ct in the UK.

For these reasons, we can either pay you immediately at a rate of 20ct or 21ct (dependent on inspection) for unhallmarked indian gold jewellery. Alternatively, if you decide for the jewellery to be melted and assayed, then the results can take up to 3 working days. At our discresion, we may be able to offer you an advance whilst you are waiting for the results.

Stones set in Indian Jewellery

Some items of Indian gold jewellery can contain in excess of 20g of stones such as Glass or other items.

Unfortunately, this means that whilst we can estimate the weight of gold in a piece of Indian Jewellery, in order to give a realistic valuation, we would need to remove ALL stones and other objects from the gold jewellery.

Once the stones have been removed, there is no going back, so please be aware of this prior to asking us to value your Indian Gold Jewellery.
