b. Scrap Gold We Pay 70% More For Scrap Gold. Go Direct, Cut Out the Middleman
Several complaints were made to the Advertising Standards Authority, and after investigation, the ASA found:
It was not made clear that if you wanted to have your scrap gold returned, you would need to pay a £35 fee. Furthermore, the conditions with which the customer would need to accept were significant and that these conditions would affect the likeliness of a customer using their services. The claim that British Gold Refinery paid 70% more was found to be misleading and could not be substantiated.
